If you have Private Medical Insurance the Ophthalmology and Orthoptic Fee should be covered by your Health Insurance Company. All assessment charges are pre-agreed with your insurance company and they can inform you of what these are.
However, insurance policies vary their level of cover, so please contact them before your appointment to obtain a pre-authorisation code for your appointment and they should also inform you if there is an excess on your policy to pay.
We have an agreement in place with all major UK health insurance companies BUPA, AXA, Vitality, WPA, CIGNA, AVIVA and NOR Express. Fee Assured.
For those who have no medical insurance or whose medical insurance company does not cover the assessment fee, you can still be seen as a self funding patient and you will be invoiced directly for payment of the Self Funding Fees as below.
